Robinson’s On The Run

A Busy Life is a Good Life

We hear it every day. How have you been?
“Oh gosh, so busy”.

We are a family of 5 who pursue an extremely active life and choose to love every minute of it.

We understand that running must fit in, be effective, not take over your life.

Hi, I am Coach Dusty Robinson

I am lucky to have found my passion for being outside and active at a young age. Growing up I played every sport I could, rode horses and motorcycles and enjoyed my friends and family constantly.

With that said, it wasn’t until my Junior College Cross Country Coach, Jim Middleton, said these amazing words to me that I found my true passion in life…”Dusty, you should consider being a coach”.

That statement sent me on a journey that fires me up more than anything…A Journey of HELPING OTHERS. I am truly driven by helping other people be at their best and love drawing people together.

After competing in cross country and track & field throughout high school and junior college, I was off to Chico State for my undergraduate work in Kinesiology and eventually to Humboldt State for my graduate work in Exercise Physiology. Along the way I was fortunate to Coach with incredible mentors at Central Valley High School, Butte Community College, Shasta Community College and Humboldt State University.

As a runner myself, I have participated in just about every aspect of the sport. While at Shasta College I was the 5,000 meter and 3000 Meter Steeplechase Conference Champion. After competing in cross country and track, I took to the roads, racing for 10+ years competitively in the Pacific Association USATF series. And then spent 7 or so years participating in likely my strongest aspect of running; Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra Distance events.

In the end I learned this, if running runs your life you won’t love it. As a runner . . . running must have space in your life but not be your life.
